Custom Drawstring Bags with Your Company Logo

Custom drawstring bags are those lightweight fabric sacks that close by pulling two cords and are worn on the back. They're popular at races, fairs, and company events because they're inexpensive, weigh about 60-100 g, and fold to fit in a pocket. We produce from 25 units, and you'll see the design applied before approval.

A Cheap Bag Doesn't Break from the Fabric, It Breaks at the Corners

Almost all drawstring bags fail at the same spot: the bottom corner where the cord passes through. If the bag is a sewn rectangle and the cord pulls directly on the fabric, the first heavy book or laptop will tear the seam. That's why the real difference between a €4 bag and a €7 one isn't so much in the fabric weight as in the reinforcement: corners finished in canvas or PVC, metal eyelet, and braided polypropylene cord instead of flat tape. We work with a short catalogue of models that already come with this reinforcement as standard, not a list of thousands of references.

The second decision is the fabric. 210D polyester is the industry standard: lightweight, abrasion-resistant, and a good base for screen printing. 80 g/m² non-woven is cheaper but deforms after a few uses, so it only makes sense for a one-day event. 140-180 g/m² cotton is more refined, allows embroidery, and fits well within an eco-friendly merchandising pack. If you're unsure between the bag, a tote with handles, or a laptop backpack, the full comparison is at custom bags and backpacks for companies.

What Can Be Personalised

  • The logo on the front: screen printing from 1 to 4 colours or digital transfer if the brand has gradients. The usual print area is 20 × 20 cm, reaching 25 × 25 cm on 36 × 44 cm models.
  • The colour of the bag and the cord separately. Most models allow combining a neutral body with the cord in the corporate colour, which looks more understated than dyeing the entire bag.
  • A small secondary marking on the bottom or back: the website, team name, or event year, in a single colour.
  • The contents: the bag can come pre-filled with a bottle, a notebook, and one of our custom company t-shirts, assembled by us and delivered sealed.
  • Full sublimation printing on white polyester, when you want a pattern that covers the entire front face instead of a centred logo.

How It's Done

  • Design and Preview: you send us the logo in vector format (SVG, PDF or AI) and, if you only have a PNG, we vectorise it. We set up the marking on the chosen model and colour and show you the preview on screen. Nothing is produced until you approve it.
  • Production and Marking: screen printing for flat logos with few colours, digital transfer for gradients and photos, embroidery on cotton bags. Inks are matched to Pantone and the first unit of the batch is checked before proceeding.
  • Delivery: to the office, event venue, or each person's address, across Europe. If delivering to addresses, each person enters their address on the Pekata portal, in their language, and HR does not collect or store any personal data. Everything arrives with a single invoice.

Where it works and what it pairs with

The drawstring bag is the default container for any event where people end up with their hands full: internal races and tournaments, fairs where brochures and samples are handed out, open days, summer camps for employees' children, or off-site training sessions. As it's lightweight and foldable, it's also the cheapest way for someone visiting your stand to carry all the materials inside rather than in their hands. If you're organising the complete action, in event, fair and congress merchandising you'll find the rest of the pieces and their timelines.

It works very well as packaging for a pack: a bag with a bottle, notebook, and chocolate inside is cheaper than a rigid box and assembles just as quickly. For welcoming a new person, the box usually wins for presentation, and you can find it developed in welcome pack for companies. If the campaign also includes gourmet products or the Pekata box with a band, label, and card with your brand, everything is invoiced together and delivered in the same shipment.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a personalised drawstring bag cost?

The usual range is €4 to €8 per unit with the logo already applied and excluding VAT. A 210D polyester bag with one-colour screen printing is €4-6, a reinforced one with canvas corners and metal eyelet is €5-7, and cotton or recycled polyester ones rise to €6-8. The price decreases as the volume increases because the fixed cost of the screen printing screens is spread over more units.

What is the minimum order for drawstring bags?

The minimum order is 25 units: we produce from 25 units, so you can order 15 bags for a day or 2,000 for a race. What changes with the quantity is the unit price, not the ability to order. If distributing between several locations or to addresses, each destination receives its own and a single invoice is issued.

How long does a personalised bag order take?

Typically, it's two to three weeks from when you approve the preview, including marking and transport. Large runs or bags made to measure in a specific colour and size take four to six weeks. These are approximate times: we don't set a date until the model and quantity are confirmed, so if you already have the event day, let us know when requesting a quote.

What marking technique works best on a drawstring bag?

Screen printing is the standard option on 210D polyester and cotton: it withstands wear and is cost-effective from a few dozen units, with a practical limit of 4 flat colours. If the logo has gradients or a photograph, digital transfer reproduces it better. On 180 g/m² cotton, embroidery is also possible, and on white polyester, you can cover the entire front face by sublimation.

Can the cord be a different colour from the bag?

Yes, in most models the body and cord are chosen separately, and a neutral bag with the cord in the corporate colour usually looks better than dyeing the entire bag. If you prefer each person to choose their colour, they do so on the Pekata portal when entering their address and receive theirs without HR having to ask anything.
